ZERO concessions

The NEO is built using a unique Acecore Space Frame, which is a super lightweight & extremely strong and rigid. Our co-axial X setup creates maximum point load per propeller to create great stability and minimum negative environmental effects. Each boom is splitt into a V shape from the centre to support the individual motors. The inflexible construction avoids torsion making the aerial system stable and ensuring that performance is not compromised at the expense of weight, as the frame remains light and beautifully balanced.

Manipulating the wind 

NEO is a sophisticated endurance UAV. It uses electricity intelligently, and manipulates the wind. We call it efficient dynamics - doing more with less. NEO looks and flies like nothing else in the air. We took our experience and inspiration from our very highly demanding broadcasting experiences in the Middle East. The new design of our carbon space frame and high quality components are direct descendants from the extreme environmental elements that NEO needs to perform in.

Turn down the heat

Our patented active cooling system makes use of the existing components. Air circulation is directed along all the critical components creating more efficiency and capacity of electrical circuits. This results in better performance in high operating temperatures – and therefore more flight time with less maintenance.

Retractable landing gear

Strong light weight and reliable, with the benefits of allowing 360 camera pan rotation.

Safety with more power

Acecore additional ducted fans are especially designed to reduce loss in thrust from the tips of the propellers.  This allows for an advantageous effect on the velocity and pressure of airflow. By reducing propeller blade tip losses, the Acecore ducted fan is more efficient in producing thrust than a conventional propeller. Ducted fans are quieter than propellers; they shield the blade noise, and reduce the tip speed and intensity of the tip vortices, both of which contribute to noise production. Last but not least, ducted fans offer enhanced safety on the ground.

The challenge was to create stunning beauty and elegance, combined with unique technology. We started with our basic rule: function over aesthetics. Creating such an aerial system was a challenge. Our designers knew it was going to be hard. We succeeded by designing a cutting edge VX design where function is turned into perfection.

Function over esthetics

Every detail of the NEO immediately marks it out as a progressive performing aerial system - from the emphatic, structural shape, active air intakes, dynamic curved booms and additional ducted fans. However, these design features are not just for show. Each serves its own purpose, whether it is enhancing the aerial system’s aerodynamic potential or cooling critical components.

Carefully considered and tested concepts for performance improvements had to be combined with elegant design . The NEO combines exquisite exterior lines with advanced engineering making an aerodynamic and versatile product. In combination with the ducted fans, the dynamic airflow allows maximum performance.

Our pioneering LED illumination, which is brighter, lighter and more efficient, distinctively finishes off an unusually refined design for such an high performance UAV.

Custom manufactured motors

Each motor stator is hand-wound ensuring maximum copper fill and individually tested on resistance of each coil to ensure the correct number of turns. Together with high quality magnets that increase motor operating limits, chemically coated copper wires and triple bearing support, they are dyno-tested, computer-balanced and electronically weighed to ensure consistent, reliable and vibration free motors.

Stunning electric circuits

High power wires and capacitors allow stable electrical currents to run through the system, resulting in quick and precise engine response.  Combined with carbon isolation, magnetic disturbances are kept to a minimum resulting in a noise free operation of the flight control measurement devices.

 

Carbon propellers

Specially designed carbon laminated propellers with reduced wing loading design allow for more efficient lift distribution over the profile of the blade. Shielded from the outside with impact resistant ducts, the infinite wing effects are maximized and tip vortices are a thing of the past.

Breakthrough suspension technology

Thanks to the development of new isolation techniques, high frequency camera vibrations are eliminated , providing incredibly sharp images.

Highly identifiable thanks to improved LED illumination technology, combined with optimum positioning pilot confidence is boosted during VLOS (night) operation.

 

Agility and stability

With motors pushed to the corners of the frame, the NEO has exceptional agile handling.
Standard 90 degree motor crafts suffer from natural instability. The NEO uses dihedral  motor offsets  which have strongly stabilising effects. Combined with far outward placed engines our NEO stability is unsurpassed.
